ESD 113’s Capital STEM Alliance is ready to celebrate National STEM/STEAM Day on November 8!
Thurston Talk recently wrote about the importance of STEM and how local organizations, such as the Capital STEM Alliance, encourage students and their communities to engage in STEM careers. The focus is on educating students, providing opportunities, and building STEM-focused partnerships.
Capital STEM Alliance Director Lorie Thompson looks forward to continuing growth in this area with events like the recent Try-A-Trade program. It’s become increasingly necessary for students to have postsecondary degrees, and a focus on STEM tends to break down many of the barriers students face in trying to reach that goal.
